If you missed AMSSA’s webinars on anti-racism released in February and March, the recordings have now been turned into e-learnings that you can review!
Anti-racism is an intrinsic part of the settlement sector. The links between migration, racism, and colonialism means that settlement workers often already are doing anti-racism work by navigating the systems stacked against racialized people in their work supporting newcomers. Yet while a key part of the sector’s work is supporting racialized newcomers, often frontline staff within service provider organizations face the same challenges and systems of racism that they are supporting their clients through. In this two-part e-learning, QuakeLab founder and CEO Sharon Nyangweso will share how anti-racism can be tackled within organizations at a systems level, offering practical tools on how organizations can approach equity as a key part of their operations.
This e-learning course is free. Upon successful completion of a series of chapters and quizzes, participants will be able to obtain a certificate of completion.
