BCSIS Human Resources Capacity Virtual Roundtable Staff Compensation and Retention

February 14 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Settlement service provider organizations are experiencing challenges in human resources capacity building, including staff recruitment, retention, career progression, leadership development, sector compensation levels and well-being at work.  This Roundtable series will delve into topics that service providers have indicated are key issues.

What comes first? Compensation or Retention
Within every organization there is a need to review and consider your compensation philosophy and competitiveness to ensure that you have what you need to compensate employees for their work. But employees are looking for more than just an income. They are also looking for meaning, attachment to the bigger picture, and a workplace that aligns with their values. These are all elements of a great retention strategy. So, what comes first? The money or the meaning?

All BCSIS service provider organizational leaders who have responsibility for managing human resources as a component of their role are welcome to join us for a virtual Roundtable discussion with HR experts Denise Lloyd and Leslie Liggett of Engaged HR on how to create a great place to work that rewards employees with both.
