Francophone referrals are essential to both Anglophone and Francophone organizations as this process supports Francophones in British Columbia with access to essential services, strengthening their settlement and integration, at the same time as supporting their bilingual status in B.C. and the right to access services in either of the official languages. Many Francophone organizations across B.C., support Francophone newcomers living in the province, including immigrants and refugees to access settlement services in French. This support as well as referrals made by Anglophone organizations are essential to helping create a dynamic, unique, multicultural, and vibrant Francophone community fostering lasting ties between newcomers and the Francophone communities.
In this webinar, attendees learned:
- The updated process of making a referral to a Francophone organization
- Why Francophone referrals are essential to both the Anglophone and Francophone organizations and Canada’s overall commitment to settlement and re-settlement
- How to ensure that you are fulfilling responsibilities under the IRCC Contribution Agreement
