Women’s migration processes and experiences are often distinct from those of men, shaped by social dynamics, caregiving roles, and intersecting identities. Those who arrive as mothers or become mothers in Canada face unique challenges as they navigate their settlement journey. Supporting newcomer mothers is not only crucial to their individual well-being but also essential to building inclusive and equitable settlement services across British Columbia.
This webinar focuses on practical tools and frameworks to better support newcomer mothers throughout their settlement journey. It explores the intersections of gender, migration status, and caregiving responsibilities, and how these factors influence access to services and overall well-being.
