Building upon the Resource Sheet on Empowering Wellness for International Post-Secondary Students Working and Studying, this resource sheet aims to enhance the capacity of service providers and post-secondary institutions to better support international students who are experiencing bullying and harassment in the workplace.
Through an occupational health and safety lens, the resource sheet will outline relevant WorkSafeBC information on workers’ rights and protections, employer responsibilities, and reporting options when it comes to bullying and harassment in the workplace.
The resource will also include a guide on best practices and resources for service providers to support international students who are experiencing bullying and harassment in the workplace, from a mental health perspective. Lastly, case scenarios will illustrate how workplace bullying and harassment may show up in the nuanced realities of international students working and studying and invite service providers to reflect on how they might support the students in different scenarios.
