Mental Health is a critical issue that affects workers across a variety of fields, in many different ways. In particular, temporary foreign workers are more marginalized due to their temporary immigration status. They may be unfamiliar with WorkSafeBC policies and what their rights are. The effects of mental health struggles may not be very visible which could lead to a worker not feeling confident in making a mental health claim.
We are pleased to announce the launch of the AMSSA E-Learning course on Mental Health Claims: Introduction and Processes.
This e-learning course is free. Upon successful completion of series of chapters and quizzes, participants will be able to obtain a certificate of completion.
In this E-Learning course, representatives from WorkSafeBC cover the following:
- Relevant BC Legislation and Policy
- What a Mental Health Claim might include
- Mental Health Adjudication
- Mental Health Services and Supports
