In January 2022, the Government of B.C. will implement a new regulation for workers which will allow all employees in the province to stay home when they are sick or injured, without losing wages, for a set number of days each year. It is essential for service providers to understand employer-paid sick leave to accurately inform and guide clients. Ministry of Labour speakers provide comprehensive details about employer-paid sick leave; the public engagement process that took place prior to this legislation coming into effect; and how the regulation will be implemented.
