With a background in journalism and as a published co-author of anthologies in Brazilian Portuguese, she brings strong communication skills, empathy, and cultural awareness to everyday operations and public outreach. Having navigated the Canadian immigration process herself, Monica cares deeply about volunteer engagement, organizing welcoming events, and helping newcomer communities thrive.
