Event Navigation
The BCSIS Provincial Virtual Summit took place on February 24 and 25, 2021. The Summit provided a meeting, learning, and sharing event, inclusive of all levels, from those on the front lines of service delivery to executive. Sessions reflected BCSIS service providers’ professional development needs and priorities, with a wide range of experts from within and beyond the settlement sector. Each session addressed issues and topics of immediate relevance and long-term significance in providing supports for newcomers. The Summit provided valuable knowledge during a challenging time for service delivery.
Video recordings and presentation slides are available for many of the sessions. Please click on the Agenda tab to find the recordings and documents.
AMSSA gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Municipal Affairs for funding the Summit.
About BCSIS
The B.C. Settlement and Integration Services Program (BCSIS) supports the social and economic integration of newcomers who are not eligible to receive immigrant support services under federally funded programs. The Province of British Columbia through the Ministry of Municipal Affairs funds over fifty service providers across the province to deliver supports and services for temporary foreign residents throughout B.C. The program serves provincial nominees awaiting approval for permanent residency, temporary foreign workers, international students, refugee claimants as well as naturalized Canadian citizens.
