Workshop #1: WorkSafeBC’s Claims Processes

March 3, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Migrant workers can be vulnerable to unsafe work and workplace hazards, including their health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. They often lack the knowledge, language skills and ability to exercise their right to a safe and healthy workplace. WorkSafeBC is partnering with AMSSA to develop workshops and information for settlement agencies and their support workers to help migrant workers understand and exercise their rights and receive benefits they are entitled to as workers in BC as they relate to workplace health and safety.

Workshop #1: WorkSafeBC’s Claims Processes
In this workshop, participants will learn more about the process of filing a work-related injury or disease claim with WorkSafeBC, including the benefits covered under a claim and creating a Return to Work (RTW) Plan, as well as claim suppression.
