Role of LIP/RIFs in Knowledge Mobilization & Creating Community Connections

January 24, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
The recent need to resettle a large number of newcomers in keeping with rising immigration levels have brought the need for LIP/RIP providers to foster greater connections with their local communities to the forefront. At this webinar, we will hear from two LIP/RIF providers about two projects that they have conducted to create community connections and gain knowledge from their successes and challenges.
Building community connections during pandemic restrictions can be challenging, this 2-hour webinar will take time to learn about some successful projects undertaken by LIP/RIF providers and share promising practices. Discover key strategies for finding innovative ways to reach out to local communities and hear about the practices, challenges, and opportunities faced when doing equity-related research projects in communities.
In this webinar, you will:
  • Hear from LIP/RIF providers’ case presentations about creating community connections
  • Share promising practices from your own projects
  • Create opportunities for LIP/RIFs in both smaller and larger centres to share specific challenges and innovative ways to overcome them
  • Learn how to recognize opportunities for creating productive coalitions and finding new ways of doing research within communities.

Location: Zoom | Event details will be sent after registration
