Livable Neighbourhoods in Multicultural Cities: Immigrant Women’s Experiences and Preferences

The concept of livability has received much attention over the last two decades among urban planners, policymakers, and researchers. However, there has been little discussion on immigrant women’s experiences and perceptions of neighbourhood livability in the Canadian context.

Through a vast amount of research, the study that will be shared during this lunch and learn, contributes to filling the gap and explores the qualities of a likeable neighbourhood in a multicultural city. Based on the research findings, a livable neighbourhood in a multicultural city incorporates ten different factors that will be discussed.
