Helping Children Learn English in Schools

A free workshop for immigrant/newcomer parents helping children learn english in schools.

Location: District Reception and Placement Centre (East Wing of Moberly Elementary) Room 66, 1000 East 59th Avenue, Vancouver

The workshop will include:

  • English Language Learner (ELL) programs in elementary and secondary schools
  • How schools support ELL students
  • How ELL students evaluated
  • How students complete the ELL program
  • How parents can support ELL students
  • How parents can get involved in their children’s schools and their schooling
  • ELL Resources
  • Question and answer session
