AMSSA and its member agencies and stakeholders organize public community events, workshops for newcomers to Canada as well as professional development training, workshops, seminars and conferences for (re)settlement, language training diversity and inclusion sector employees. Back in Motion’s 2nd Annual Diversity Conference: A Catalyst for Change
Back in Motion presents its 2nd Annual Diversity Conference.
This year’s event includes presentations on:
- Working with First Nations in BC
- “Not Myself Today” – workshop on Mental Health
- Insight into the Syrian Culture
- Fostering Inclusive and Outstanding Work Environments through Curiosity, Creativity, and Courage
- Exploring Unconscious Bias
- Try on a Disability
- The Many Faces of Brain Injury
- Moving from Intercultural to Inclusion: Touching hearts, opening minds
Where: Executive Plaza Hotel, 405 North Rd, Coquitlam, BC V3K 3V9 (close to Lougheed Skytrain Station)
When: Thursday, April 28th, 2016 Time: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (registration starts at 7:45 AM)
Cost: $70 Early Bird Price (until April 15th) includes admission to the one day conference, continental breakfast, and a delicious lunch. Booths are also available for $75 for your promotional material (includes 1 registration). Booths will be located inside the event rooms.
What’s new this year: New and exciting presentations as well as LIVE ENTERTAINMENT during lunch!
Why attend?
- This year we will have breakout sessions, so more opportunities for discussion related to workplace specific scenarios
- Continue to improve quality of service by gaining practical tools to help create a diverse and inclusive workplace
- Just like last year, all attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance to submit to their respective associations for education credits (e.g. BCCDA, HRMA, VRA, and others)
