BCSIS Human Resources Capacity Virtual Roundtable Leadership Development and Skills Competencies

March 3, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 pm

Settlement service provider organizations are experiencing challenges in human resources capacity building, including staff recruitment, retention, career progression, leadership development, sector compensation levels and well-being at work.

The Secret Sauce to Leadership Development…Is there such a thing?

Developing leaders can be a challenge, particularly when you consider that “leadership” is often a bit of an undefined concept in organizations and that can feel fuzzy or vague. How can you train someone to be something that seems so all-encompassing? Leadership, like every other developable skill, can be broken into competencies that are attributes or building blocks that make a successful leader. And there are a variety of them! What competencies does your sector and your specific organization need in a leader? How do you even know where to start? Join us for an interactive Roundtable discussion that will help to shift your thinking towards the competencies that are expected from leadership in your organization.

All BCSIS service provider organizational leaders who have responsibility for managing human resources as a component of their role are welcome to join us for an interactive virtual Roundtable discussion with HR experts Denise Lloyd and Kenzie George of Engaged HR on approaches to leadership development and building the right skills in your leaders.
