Basic Financial Literacy Workshops for Permanent Residents
This workshop will help newcomers in Greater Vancouver to increase their knowledge, skills and confidence in money management and take a more active, empowered role in the economic health of their families.
Sessions include:
Part 1: Budgeting
- think about money
- Set money goals
- use a budget
- sample monthly budget
Part 2: Banks and Credit Unions
- types of accounts
- interest and service fees
- opening an account
- managing your account
