The session will focus on key pointers to help you strategize your job search techniques and tools, network more efficiently, and truly understand what employers are looking for to increase your chances of securing employment in Canada.

Aditika Mangalik

Human Resources Connections (HRC) Team

The Human Resources Connections (HRC) program supports internationally trained HR professionals integrate into the Canadian labor market through mentorship, networking, and industry-specific training.  The team includes  Project Manager Michelle Allen, CHRL;  Aditika Mangalik, a seasoned HR professional specializing in talent acquisition and newcomer empowerment; and Michelle Hagan, a global HR and recruitment specialist dedicated to supporting underrepresented communities. Together, they equip participants with the tools and support needed to thrive in their HR careers in Canada.

Michelle Allen, CHRL

For the presentation, I will be discussing:

  • HRPA’s role as Ontario’s Regulator and Association
  • The designations offered (CHRP, CHRL, CHRE)
  • I will briefly discuss the designation process but will not go into too much detail due to the limited time
  • The benefits of having a designation
  • The benefits of joining HRPA as a member and the discount code to register
 

Nicolette Holness (she/her)

Early Career Specialist

Nicolette Holness recently joined the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA) as the Early Career Specialist. She holds a bachelor’s degree in human resources management from York University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism Management. With over eight years of diverse experience, Nicolette has developed expertise in recruitment, selection, and onboarding across the hospitality, nonprofit, and engineering sectors.

Baisakhi Roy

Moderator

Baisakhi Roy is a writer and journalist based in Oakville. Her work has been published in several leading Canadian media outlets including The Globe and Mail, Toronto Star, Toronto Life, ChatelaineBroadview and CBC. Her areas of interest and expertise lie in the intersections of immigrant life and culture in Canada. She is an avid Bollywood fan and co-hosts the Hindi language podcast KhabardaarPodcast.com.
