AMSSA and its member agencies and stakeholders organize public community events, workshops for newcomers to Canada as well as professional development training, workshops, seminars and conferences for (re)settlement, language training diversity and inclusion sector employees. Women Employment Readiness Program
Richmond Community Multicultural Society presents the Women Employment Readiness Program (WERP)
Free workshop that provides women with 12 sessions of training designed to:
- Enhance essential employability skills and interests
- Increase confidence in looking for job
- Enhance understanding of job-related skills
- Resume and Cover letter writing
- Job search techniques
- Interview preparation
- On-line Applications
- Customer Service training
- Life Skills
- Develop self-marketing skills and tools
- Microsoft office training (Word, Excel, Power point, keyboard typing, Access and Outlook.
- Visiting workplace
- Connect with employers
Transportation assistance and child minder are available upon request (No Drop Ins).
