AMSSA and its member agencies and stakeholders organize public community events, workshops for newcomers to Canada as well as professional development training, workshops, seminars and conferences for (re)settlement, language training diversity and inclusion sector employees. Welcoming Refugees: Connecting Research, Learning and Practice
A networking forum where collective interests, knowledge and life experiences can generate dialogue, enhance understanding and inspire action around refugee settlement in our region. Highlights include:
- Spotlight on ISSofBC’s Welcome House;
- Open House featuring exhibitor booths hosted by groups and communitys who provide supports to refugees in Metro Vancouver; and
- Mini Talks offered by dynamic speakers on their lived experience, their research, or their services.
This event is free and open to everyone. Refreshments will be provided.
