The Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) webinar
The Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP)
Date: February 8, 2024
Time: 1:00 – 2:30 pm PST
Location: Zoom
This webinar is hosted by ISSofBC’s BC Refugee Hub in collaboration with AMSSA’s BC Refugee Resource Network. We’re excited to invite you to this webinar that introduces the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP), an initiative that merges refugee resettlement with economic immigration. The EMPP offers a unique pathway for skilled refugees to immigrate to Canada through existing economic programs, while simultaneously providing employers with access to a new pool of qualified candidates to fill their job openings. During this webinar, representatives from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will offer a high-level overview of the EMPP program. They will discuss the program’s inception, its policy framework, and the logistics involved in its execution. Our guest speakers from Jumpstart Refugee Talent will share their expertise on the practical implementation of the EMPP program. Presenters will discuss how this program supports clients on a one-on-one basis and what clients can expect from the program.
Following the presentation, we will have plenty of time for a Q&A session.
