AMSSA and its member agencies and stakeholders organize public community events, workshops for newcomers to Canada as well as professional development training, workshops, seminars and conferences for (re)settlement, language training diversity and inclusion sector employees. Resource Fair for Refugee Claimants
Options, UNHCR and MOSAIC present a Resource Fair for Refugee claimants.
Date: Saturday, March 10, 2018
Time: 11 am to 2 pm
Venue: Surrey Central Library, 10350 University Drive in Surrey
This free event will provide an opportunity for refugee claimants to:
- Learn more about government and community services,
- Meet representatives of Refugee Claimant Serving Organizations
- Attend presentations on settlement, employment, refugee appeals and more.
- Connect with other refugee claimants
Language support in Arabic, Kurdish, and Spanish will be provided during the event. Refreshments and light lunch will also be provided.
Everyone is encouraged to RSVP as space is limited.
The organizers greatly appreciate the financial support provided by Vancity and BC Ministry of Jobs, Trade and Technology. Venue is provided by Surrey Libraries.
