Exploring the Education System for Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS)

To ensure that settlement workers in schools (SWIS) are well informed on the education system in BC to help them guide their practice, AMSSA is hosting a webinar titled “Exploring the Education System for Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS). In this webinar, the BC Ministry of Education will provide an overview of the BC Curriculum and provide clarification on different types of Francophone Education in BC.

On the webinar day, AMSSA will also be sharing a one-page backgrounder with information on the Adult Graduation Program, prepared by the Ministry, with webinar attendees.

Following BC Ministry of Education’s presentation, SWIS providers will have a chance to engage in a conversation with the Ministry by sharing how the information presented resonates with the work being done by SWIS providers and the impact and questions that SWIS have.
