AMSSA Webinar: Recognizing and Assisting Victims of Labour Trafficking
Migrant workers contribute to the Canadian labour market and economy. However, some migrant workers may be vulnerable to human trafficking for labour exploitation given their lack of knowledge of their rights in Canada, inability to speak the language and isolation. Settlement and other frontline organizations can play a very important role in preventing labour trafficking as well as supporting the victims.
This webinar will provide management and frontline staff that work with temporary foreign workers with knowledge on how to recognize, protect and assist migrant workers who may have been trafficked to Canada.
