2022 IRCC BC-Yukon Summit: Emerging Minds and Modes

February 3, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

This year’s IRCC-funded BC-Yukon Summit will create space for service providers in BC and the Yukon to have big picture conversations, share and learn practical service delivery approaches and modes for eventually moving into a post-pandemic world.

The Summit has two content streams with sub-themes:
Emerging Minds – big picture conversations and ideas sharing on topics such as Immigration, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and truth-telling and reconciliation.
Emerging Methods and Modes – more practical conversations and sharing of emerging approaches to service delivery.

Taking place over two days on February 2nd and 3rd, 2022, the Summit will include learning and sharing opportunities through a total of 24 sessions, including keynote, plenary, concurrent and discussion sessions. The speakers at the Summit include representatives from government, research institutions, settlement sector organizations, as well as subject matter experts. In addition, the Summit will provide opportunities to connect with others through networking sessions.
WHO:
This Summit is open to all IRCC-funded service providers in BC and the Yukon. Please invite all of your staff to attend. The content of the Summit will address the work of all levels of settlement and integration staff from frontline to management to executive .

All sessions will be fully bilingual. Interpretation in French and English will be available. As well, specific sessions focusing on Francophone engagement will be a part of the agenda.

There is no cost to attend this Summit.

Important Note: Please ensure that you and your staff register with work email addresses that are issued by your organization, and that you complete the registration form with your name, title, and full organization name.
