The Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) Meeting held on September 27th, 2016, brought together representatives from each SWIS contract to discuss the ongoing needs and impacts of supporting immigrant and refugee children and youth who have experienced trauma. Meeting participants had the opportunity to discuss how to best support all students and staff that may be impacted by the addition of children with trauma in their schools.
