Webinar – BC Labour Market Outlook

avril 30, 2025 @ 10h00 - 11h30

Many temporary resident categories have limited access to the services that WorkBC provides. To be able to provide employment counseling, one of the key competencies that underlies all job search support is the understanding of the labour market that newcomers seek employment in. Having access to reliable labour market information is crucial for front-line staff to effectively support newcomers in their job search.

The BC Labour Market Outlook provides a 10-year forecast of the flow of supply and demand for labour in the province. The forecast gives British Columbians the most up-to-date information they need to make informed decisions on careers, skills training, education and hiring, and it’s a valuable tool for settlement service providers to help target BC Newcomer Service Program and BC Safe Haven client job search efforts.

In this webinar, representatives from the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills will provide an overview of the BC Labour Market Outlook for 2024-2034, including future labour market needs, BC’s High Opportunity Occupations and any relevant changes over the past year.
