Financial Policies Virtual Information Session with Humanity Financial Management Inc. (MEMBERS ONLY EVENT)
Financial policies serve as a foundation for sound financial management and long-term success. Maintaining meaningful and well-considered financial policies and procedures is a critical component of ensuring appropriate management of a registered charity and organization. Effective financial policies should be developed through a risk management model with five core areas to be considered.
Join Anna Nelson, Consulting CFO with Humanity Financial, as we explore how effective financial policies and procedures will support strong financial management, risk mitigation, and the alignment of financial operations with the overall mission of an organization.
Participants will:
- Understand the purpose and benefits of financial policies and procedures.
- Identify the key steps in choosing the right financial policies for their organization.
- Consider the risk mitigation opportunities effective financial policies provide.
- Explore the roles of the Board and Management in implementing effective financial policies and procedures.
The session is for AMSSA members who are senior organizational leaders, those working in finance and accounting positions, as well as Board of Directors members. There will be opportunities to engage with the presenter and ask questions.
