On January 27, 2011 AMSSA, in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health, hosted a provincial symposium for representatives from the health and settlement sectors who were interested in learning about the prevention, early detection and resources available to support people living with type 2 diabetes. The event was moderated by Dr. Ken Madden, Gerontologist, Vancouver General Hospital & UBC.
