You will also learn how to work effectively with privately sponsored newcomers, their sponsors, and other settlement professionals.<\/p>\n<p>The course has five modules:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introduction to the Private Sponsorship of Refugees Program<\/li>\n<li>The Role of Sponsors<\/li>\n<li>Rights, Responsibilities, and Expectations of Privately Sponsored Newcomers<\/li>\n<li>IRCC Program Assurance<\/li>\n<li>The Role of Settlement Workers in Private Sponsorship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each module includes readings, videos, activities, a quiz, a discussion forum, and extra resources to support your learning.<\/p>\n<p>This is a self-study course. You can complete the course at your own pace during the 5-week course period. However, you must finish all readings, quizzes, and the final exam before the course ends.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_18_1_1_1784573486200_25\">A weekly online discussion forum is available if you would like to ask questions, share ideas, and learn with other participants and the course facilitator.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This course is for settlement professionals and other service providers who work with privately sponsored refugees and their sponsors.
