Many Francophone organizations across B.C., support Francophone newcomers living in the province, including immigrants and refugees to access settlement services in French. This support as well as referrals made by Anglophone organizations are essential to helping create a dynamic, unique, multicultural, and vibrant Francophone community fostering lasting ties between newcomers and the Francophone communities. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In this webinar, you will learn about:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The updated process of making a referral to a Francophone organization<\/li>\n<li>Why Francophone referrals are essential to both the Anglophone and Francophone organizations and Canada\u2019s overall commitment to settlement and re-settlement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>How to ensure that you are fulfilling responsibilities under the IRCC Contribution Agreement<\/p>\n<p><strong>MESSAGE FROM IRCC BCY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Francophone referral pathway is essential to both Anglophone and Francophone organizations. Recipient Contribution Agreements include clauses in Schedule 4 which confirm the requirement to inquire about the language of service requested. When clients indicate French as their first language, they should be informed of the availability for French settlement services. Organizations should develop and maintain connections with Francophone service providers to facilitate these referrals. By attending this webinar, you will learn how this process supports a unique, multicultural and vibrant francophone community.
