As more individuals awaken to the reality of racism, public education becomes a crucial venue for dispensing evidence-based knowledge and for the public to develop racial literacy. Join Dr. Traor\u00e9 for part two of the lecture series on racism and anti-racism. Through talks, reading assignments, and question and answer sessions, this series will provide participants with foundational knowledge on the topic. <\/p>\n
The winter lectures will focus on a developmental approach to building an anti-racist multicultural organization, different organizational anti-racism strategies, and working on the self.
\nThis series is best suited for people who are:
\na) Aware that racism exists and seek more information about its various manifestations, and
\nb) Interested in learning more about anti-racism work.
\nThis series is not a \u00ab\u00a0how-to\u00a0\u00bb series, which is the domain of consultants. Instead, the focus is on \u00ab\u00a0what\u00a0\u00bb; that is, on explaining core concepts and domains of knowledge in the field of racism and anti-racism. Participants are expected to commit to attending all lectures, and doing all readings, because they build upon one another.<\/p>\n
