This workshop teaches participants how to help someone who is showing signs of a mental health problem or is experiencing a mental health crisis. The 2-day, 12-hour certified basic training course is a program of the Mental Health Commission of Canada and covers the following topics:<br \/>\n\u2022 Signs and symptoms of mental health problems and crisis situations<br \/>\n\u2022 A basic model to provide mental health first aid<br \/>\n\u2022 Information about how to help in a crisis and how to help prevent a crisis<br \/>\n\u2022 Encouraging a person to identify options for help<\/p>\n<p>Training will be held on December 4-5 from 9-4 at the Ramada 19225 Hwy 10 (56th Ave) in Surrey.
