DESCRIPTION:National Virtual Roundtables for Migrant Worker Support Organizations will provide professional development opportunities and enhance the capacity of individuals\, and the staff of organizations\, institutions and businesses that support migrant workers. \n﻿The roundtable events are an opportunity to share on regional priorities and service gaps in relation to supporting migrant workers\, while providing a space for those working with and supporting migrant workers to connect and share best practices. \nParticipants have the option of attending Day 1 (English only) or 2 (French interpretation provided).\nDay 3 will be a distinct Professional Development event open to all attendees on the topic of Racism and Hate. (French interpretation provided).\nOn Day 2 & 3 we will be providing simultaneous French interpretation throughout the day. \nDay 1- October 12\, 2021 or Day 2 – October 13\, 2021 \nOn Day 1 (October 12\, 2021) and Day 2 (October 13\, 2021) migrant worker support organizations will learn about current ESDC-funded projects related to supporting migrant workers. Immigration Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) Canada remains committed to supporting the successful integration and settlement of francophone newcomers. Therefore\, IRCC’s Francophone Integration Pathway aims to ensure that French-speaking newcomers can obtain accurate and complete information on settlement services offered by francophone organizations. \nThis AMSSATalk will provide directors\, management\, and frontline staff with more information about ways of strengthening referrals to francophone organizations. \nThe AMSSATalk will feature speakers with a range of personal and professional experiences supporting different sectors\, from settlement services to education in French\, and employment services.
