SUMMARY:Building Bridges
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Pacific Immigrant Resources Society and the Family Services of Greater Vancouver\, Building Bridges is a women’s development program for immigrant women who have: \n\nfunctional competency in English (high intermediate level)\neffective interpersonal skills and a strong desire to work with others in a helping role\nexperience in the settlement/integration process\, with a readiness to assist others in this process\nsome experience working in a group or community development setting (in Canada or overseas)\nthe ability to meet the time commitments and other requirements of the program\na commitment to using the skills and knowledge acquired in a group setting and/or at an organizational level\n\nIf you are interested in developing your facilitation skills and furthering or exploring your career opportunities in a community/network setting\, this program will be a great resource to you.
