Katie oversees AMSSA and its diverse programming. She leads a cohesive, collaborative and professional team. By working with AMSSA's Board of Directors, she carries forward AMSSA's overall strategic direction. As the CEO, Katie continues to build and maintain partnerships with non-profit, government, and for-profit sectors.
Brita manages AMSSA’s accounts. She has worked at AMSSA since 1996 and has been a strong and steady foundation for AMSSA. As an integral part of the AMSSA team, she has contributed to AMSSA taking on new and interesting programming in settlement, language and integration, diversity and inclusion.
Melissa oversees the execution of AMSSA branding and overall communications including the AMSSA’s website, social media, and publications such as the AMSSA Insider and Annual Report. Melissa oversees AMSSA's office operations, provides support to all AMSSA programming, as well as coordinates logistics for in-person meetings.
Sabrina manages the supports for settlement and integration programming in British Columbia. These supports include arranging in-person events, organizing and creating online training and capacity building opportunities such as webinars and AMSSATalk, creating e-learning modules, and coordinating the Immigrant Integration Coordinating Committee (IICC).
Julie manages the supports for language programs funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada in British Columbia. These supports include arranging in-person events, providing online training opportunities, and representing the interests of federally funded language training organizations at both provincial and national levels.
Lori manages supports for BC Settlement and Integration Services (BC SIS) and Career Paths service providers organizations. These supports include stakeholder engagement, arranging in-person events, organizing and facilitating working group meetings, and developing online training courses.
Ljudmila supports Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada funded organizations in BC through knowledge mobilization initiatives that translate academic research and policy documents into products that can be used effectively by staff in settlement agencies. She also works to support collaborations between researchers and settlement organizations in BC and monitors social, policy and research trends related to immigration and settlement.
Kaan assists the output of AMSSA’s online training events and videos. This includes audio visual support for webinars and live streaming events, as well as filming online short videos and video editing.
Saeedeh supports the Chief Executive Officer, Board of Directors and AMSSA Program staff. Supports include coordinating office operations, communications, providing membership support, arranging in-person meetings and providing resource support to the Settlement and Integration Program and Safe Harbour Diversity and Inclusion Workshops.
Alejandra works to enhance the knowledge and capacity of organizations and employers supporting migrant workers in BC. Supports include migrant worker specific resources and tools such as webinars, info sheets, animated videos, e-learning modules and a Migrant Worker Hub website.
Alice works to support the development and implementation of AMSSA's Settlement and Integration programs to ensure all deliverables are met. In addition, Alice assists the development of resources, events, and tools to support capacity-building for BC's settlement and integration sector.
Sara works to support organizations serving migrant workers in BC through a WorkSafeBC project. This support includes service mapping and creating a more comprehensive list of services and resources available to migrant workers in BC as well as the development of resources aiming at increasing capacity of organizations serving migrant workers.
Misrak works to enhance the knowledge and capacity of organizations and employers supporting migrant workers in BC. Supports include providing logistical support for capacity building opportunities as well as research for migrant worker specific resources and tools such as info sheets, animated videos, and e-learning modules as well as ensuring that the Migrant Worker Hub website remains current and up-to-date.
Negin works to support the settlement and integration service provider organizations across BC by developing and delivering online events in collaboration with AMSSA staff including AMSSA’s lecture series, regional meetings, and a virtual provincial summit which aim to support the settlement sector with networking, professional development, and training opportunities.
Jessie supports the implementation of AMSSA's projects such as the Racial Literacy lecture series as well as the project: Disrupting Current Colonial Practices and Structures in the Settlement and Integration Sector.
