AMSSA E-Symposium - Immigrant Statistics: Finding and Using Online Information in Immigrant Settlement
On February 22, 2012, AMSSA hosted a symposium for WelcomeBC service providers who were interested in learning about how to access the wealth of federal and provincial online information, as well as how to apply this information in immigrant settlement, such as for planning, proposal writing and/or research. AMSSA E-Symposium: Diabetes & BC Multiethnic Communities

On January 27, 2011 AMSSA, in partnership with Vancouver Coastal Health, hosted a provincial symposium for representatives from the health and settlement sectors who were interested in learning about the prevention, early detection and resources available to support people living with type 2 diabetes. The event was moderated by Dr. Ken Madden, Gerontologist, Vancouver General Hospital & UBC.
