Displaced persons and resettled refugees receiving services during humanitarian responses have almost universally faced traumatic events that led to their upheaval. This is true for many other newcomers to Canada, and there is recognition that integrating trauma-informed practices into our day-to-day work is essential to meeting client needs. This webinar, hosted by AMSSA’s B.C. Refugee Resource Network and B.C. Refugee Hub, equips professionals from various fields, including settlement services, healthcare, education, and more, with practical information to better support and integrate trauma-informed practices into their work while serving newcomer populations.
