Newcomer Children
AMSSA’s Newcomer Children’s Champion program promotes the interests and well-being of newcomer children across BC. AMSSA works in collaboration with member agencies and stakeholders to improve the outcomes for newcomer children in the following areas:
- ECD / ECE
- English as a Second Language
- Family Dynamics
- Health and Wellness
- Multiculturalism and Identity
- Schooling
In addition to ANCIE, we also conduct innovative research on variety of topics related to newcomer children, as well as collaborate and participate in initiatives that affect the design of policy and practice in key topic areas. This program is supported and funded by the United Way of the Lower Mainland.
