OCTIP - Responsible for developing and coordinating the Government of BC’s strategy to address, reduce and prevent human trafficking.

Settlement.Org - At Work - Developed by OCASI (Ontario settlement umbrella) with information for frontline settlement service providers on assisting clients, sector issues and research.

Integration-Net - A communications, information and research tool to support the work of the Canadian settlement community.

Refugees

Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR) - Non-profit umbrella organization committed to the rights and protection of refugees in Canada and around the world and to the settlement of refugees and immigrants in Canada.

Canadian Red Cross: First Contact Program- Aims to provide refugee claimants with tools that will help prevent their marginalization, distress and exploitation. Services are available in over 17 languages.

United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) - Information on the Office of the UNHCR, which is mandated to lead and coordinate international action to protect refugees and resolve refugee problems world-wide.

Research and Education

BC Stats - Provincial government agency that produces and interprets statistical information relating to all facets of life in BC, including the demographic, social and economic conditions of the province and its population.

International Organization for Migration (IOM) - Inter-governmental organization that works with governments and NGOs to help ensure the orderly and humane management of migration and to promote international cooperation on migration issues.

Maytree Foundation - Private foundation that promotes equity and prosperity across Canada by funding immigrant settlement strategies and by researching and promoting policy options.

Metropolis BC - Funds, produces and disseminates research to contribute to and aid discussion on Canada’s emerging immigration policy and immigrant settlement issues.

Metropolis Canada - International network for comparative research and public policy development on migration, diversity and immigrant integration in cities in Canada and around the world.

Statistics Canada - Federal government agency that compiles, analyzes and disseminates statistical information on life in Canada, including demographics, social trends and economic conditions.

Alberta Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies (AAISA) - Non-profit umbrella agency representing over 20 community-based organizations in Alberta that provide immigrant and refugee settlement services.

Atlantic Region Association of Immigrant Serving Agencies (ARAISA) - Umbrella association of organizations serving immigrants in the Canadian Atlantic region: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island.

Canadian Immigrant Settlement Sector Alliance (CISSA-ACSEI) - website under construction - National partnership of provincial umbrella organizations representing immigrant and refugee service providers.

Manitoba Immigrant and Refugee Settlement Sector Association (MIRSSA) - website under construction - Manitoba's not-for-profit provincial umbrella organization representing immigrant and refugee service providers.

Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI) - Non-profit umbrella organization representing over 200 community-based organizations in Ontario that provide services and supports to immigrants and refugees.

Saskatchewan Association of Immigrant Settlement and Integration Agencies (SAISIA) - Non-profit umbrella organization for immigrant settlement and integration services in Saskatchewan.
