Volunteering with the Diversity Health Fair

Are you interested in health and well-being? In particular cancer prevention and early detection? Would you like to be involved in an event that has been connecting locals to health agencies for the past eight years? Are you outgoing, upbeat and responsible?
Then AMSSA's Diversity Health Fair might be the fit for you!
As a volunteer, you will represent AMSSA to the diverse, multicultural community of BC. With your help to creating a smooth and positive family event, you can be the key to the Fair’s success.
We are looking for volunteers who:
- To fill these positions
- Are friendly, outgoing and responsible
- Are able to commit to a minimum 3 hour volunteer shift
- Are able to attend a mandatory volunteer orientation session
- Can speak English and one or more other languages. Need is greatest for speakers of Cantonese, Mandarin, Farsi, French, Korean, Punjabi, Spanish and Vietnamese.
All volunteers will receive a letter of appreciation and certificate from AMSSA. People who volunteer on the day of the event (Saturday, March 3, 2012) will also receive lunch and a light-weight vest.
Volunteering for the 2012 Vancouver Diversity Health Fair is a great opportunity to meet new people, learn more about healthy living and make a positive contribution to the community, all while having fun!
