Diversity In Song
by Vancouver Children’s Choir
Founded in 1983 by Rupert Lang, the Vancouver Children’s Choir has been praised for their artistry at local and international music festivals. Throughout their 28 year history, VCC has offered excellent vocal training, as well as a wide variety of performance experiences. These have included singing for royalty, as well as many civic and provincial functions. The choir has also performed sound-track work for NBC and Paramount Pictures, provided back-up vocals for artists such as Judith Forst and the Vancouver Symphony, and sung for a diverse range of corporate events – including at sunset on the top of Whistler Mountain!
An important part of VCC philosophy includes choristers offering their vocal talents from time to time to national and civic events (such as Canada Day and Citizenship Ceremonies), church services, as well as local charity fundraiser events, such as CBC Radio’s Annual Food Drive.

Cuban Salsa and Rueda de Casino
by Estilo Cubano
Karlos, originally from Cuba, came to Canada in 2003 and three years later, in 2006, he formed the Estilo Cubano Dance Team. There are over 12 members from all around the globe, all talented in their own right in Cuban Salsa.
Every Monday, for at least two hours (more often before upcoming performances), one can find the team practicing. But any dance floor affords that opportunity so it is not unusual to find team members on Friday and Saturday nights trying Karlos' latest choreography at one of Vancouver's salsa venues.
Estilo Cubano has become well known for their lively and highly entertaining performances. Some of their appearances include Global BC on TV, Vancouver Rueda Festival, the Annual BC Cancer Agency Fundraiser, the Annual Diversity Health Fair, Trout Lake's Latin Festival, Canada Day Celebrations, Salsa Night at the Atlantis Club, Latin Night at the Polish Community Centre and numerous events at restaurants in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. Estilo Cubano also performs at private engagements.
