Immigrant Integration Coordinating
Committee (IICC)
International migration is now the largest single contributor to
population growth in British Columbia. Immigration is also the leading
component of labour force growth in this province. New immigrants
seeking employment have become the largest source of new entrants
into the labour market in most recent years.
The impact of these changes upon community and government services
is significant. Managing change effectively requires a pro-active
approach to problem solving.
AMSSA's Immigrant Integration Coordinating Committee (IICC) provides
an opportunity for agencies and associations working with newcomers
to address these challenges, find reasonable solutions, and share
resources.
The IICC is committed to improving immigrant integration services,
developing client-centred policy, facilitating effective consultation,
advocating for necessary change, conducting meaningful research
related to the needs of the sector, and developing professional
standards in service delivery.
