British Columbia's population is culturally diverse, including First Nations in all regions, Canadian born citizens of many backgrounds, and immigrants from throughout the world. Demographic forces are ensuring continuing immigration to BC, and ongoing shifts in immigrant source countries are bringing increasing cultural and racial diversity to BC communities. In order to maintain the fabric of a strong, multicultural society, community institutions, businesses, and individuals must continue to develop local anti-racism and multiculturalism capacities.
AMSSA is providing this BC Directory of Multiculturalism/Anti-Racism Expertise as a public service to support BC communities as they successfully adapt to and benefit from demographic and immigration trends. This directory is a unified, searchable, freely accessible listing of existing anti-racism, multiculturalism, and ethnic diversity expertise throughout the province. It is designed to assist users to find expertise "close to home", where possible.
