This website has been created to provide information on healthy living to multicultural and immigrant communities in BC. You will find information and activities that are both easy to understand and fun. Topics include Healthy Eating, Healthy Lifestyles, Healthy Communities and Healthy Minds. If you want to learn more about eating a balanced diet, the best way to quit smoking, joining a community centre and lots more, please visit the Community Resources. You will find links to many websites with information that is easy to read and understand. Some websites even have information in different languages, such as Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, French and Punjabi. Teachers can use the ELSA (English Language Services for Adults) Resources for ELSA levels literacy to 5. Complete with photocopiable picture cards, internet exercises and worksheets, students explore the themes of Healthy Eating, Healthy Communities, Healthy Lifestyles, Healthy Minds and Diabetes. Teachers will also find valuable references and resources for use in the classroom and beyond.
