Promoting Healthy Living

Dear ESL Teachers:
Health Fact 2

We’d like to invite ESL teachers in the Lower Mainland to attend and take part in this year’s exciting event. As a special component and a learning opportunity for students, Educational Kits will be downloadable on our website for teachers to encourage students to fully participate in the Fair. The Kits include a map with directions to the Health Fair, activity sheets with new vocabulary, lesson plan ideas and scavenger hunt games that can only be completed by attending the event. Leading up to the Health Fair, you can spark discussions and games in your classroom while teaching crucial health information.

Filled with fun and educational activities, the Health Fair is a free event that invites multi-ethnic visitors to discover the secret to get fit, stay healthy and be safe. This one-stop shop for health information and preventative health issues answers questions about healthy foods and connects the multicultural community to BC’s health resources. Interactive health services will also be available on-site in the languages of new Canadians.

If you'd like to be updated on new Education Kit items as they become available on our website and receive reminders about the upcoming Fair, please leave us your contact details in our “Contact Us” section. See you at the Fair!
