The BC Settlement and Adaptation Program Information and Referral Site
International migration is now the largest single contributor to labour force growth in British Columbia,
and immigration is minimizing the negative social and economic impacts of our overall population decline.
Effective settlement and integration of newcomers into our society and labour market is increasingly vital,
both for newcomers and their new home communities.
The BC Settlement and Adaptation Program Information and Referral Site is a service of AMSSA
to assist the frontline work of BCSAP immigrant settlement service staff throughout BC.
This site is in the form of an "on-line community".
AMSSA staff continuously posts relevant information on the site.
The site is also designed for BCSAP service staff members themselves
to easily share information and resources with others by service specialization,
ask questions of other BCSAP staff province-wide,
provide more effective inter-agency client referrals,
and build ongoing staff service relationships across organizations.
Password access to this site is controlled by each BCSAP service provider agency.
If you do not have access to this site, and are working in BCSAP Streams 1, 2 or "Blended",
please check with your worplace supervisor.
AMSSA gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Settlement
and Multiculturalism Division, BC Ministry of Attorney General,
for AMSSA's web-based resources and services to BCSAP service providers.
