Dear colleagues,
AMSSA is excited to invite you to register for our upcoming 2024 Leadership Forum: A look beyond: Engaging the B.C. Settlement and Integration Sector in Dialogue on Immigration Policy and Practice that will be held on Wednesday, September 25th.
A look beyond: Engaging the B.C. Settlement and Integration Sector in Dialogue on Immigration Policy and Practice
As the 2020-2025 IRCC funding cycle draws to a close, it is time for the leadership of the B.C. Settlement and Integration sector to gather and reflect on the wealth of experience that has shaped the sector during the last 5 years. From significant humanitarian movements to changes in political, economic, and social trends, the recent years have shaped the priorities and the approaches taken, both on an individual level, organizationally and a national level, with national sector engagement, and will continue to shape our future. As we prepare to enter a new funding cycle, drawing upon these past experiences will support to build a stronger sector for B.C.’s future. Looking beyond the individual level and positioning ourselves within the larger scope of national sector engagement will be key to ensuring B.C.’s voice is heard in broader dialogues ultimately impacting immigration policy and practice.
Through a day of networking, discussion, and tablework, leadership will have an opportunity to engage on high-level topics ultimately building a collective voice for the B.C. sector’s national engagement.
